Our Story
San Diego is packed with talented professionals who never cross paths
We built Reciprocity to fix that — a curated directory focused on real networking, real people, and real referrals across San Diego County.
Our story
Reciprocity started with a simple observation: San Diego is packed with talented professionals who never cross paths. Real estate agents don't know the mortgage brokers down the street. Restaurateurs don't meet the PR folks who could help them. The city is bursting with connection potential, but the connections don't happen by accident.
We built Reciprocity to fix that. It's a curated directory of San Diego professionals — searchable, filterable, and focused on real networking. No fake accounts, no resume-dumping, no algorithmic feeds. Just people who want to meet other people who take their work seriously.
What makes Reciprocity different
Not another social feed. Not a LinkedIn clone. A focused platform built around how San Diego professionals actually want to connect.

Who we are
Reciprocity is founded and run by Anthony Alegrete, a San Diego-based entrepreneur who spent years attending networking events that felt transactional and leaving feeling unseen. He wanted something better — a platform where the quality of connection matters more than the quantity of business cards collected.
Today Reciprocity serves professionals across 20 industries in San Diego County, from La Jolla to Chula Vista, from Encinitas to El Cajon. Every profile is real. Every member is a working professional who chose to show up.
